Only meant to stay one night.. loved it.. stayed a 2nd.. booking again this week!
My room was everything I needed. Clean and quiet! Owner was helpful and easy going. Facilities were welcoming and nothing seemed too much bother. Interesting and lovely people traveling through was a bonus!! Was nice not to have to pay through the ears for stuff I did not need! Thank you!

Well appointed hostel in a great location
Came here as part of a university archaeology group. I have stayed in many, many hostels and I was impressed with this one. The kitchen was well laid out and equipped without the stainless-steel cheapness you often get with hostels. The living room was spacious with a great view and rooms were pretty standard for hostel dorms, comfy beds, not too cramped, could maybe have used som extra plugs though. The hostel is in a good location and is not far from Rothesay's main shops and absurb abundance of pubs. It was a bit too hot when we arrived but the manager sorted this out quickly for us. Really good hostel, would recommend and Bute really is a fantastic place to visit, especially with a bunch of archaeologists.
